This is the first time I have used this company, was found on a google search when I was looking for a company to deliver flowers same day. Being told at 08:00 in the morning by my partner it was his mothers 60th Birthday today made panic set in! Nothing had been arranged!!! I place an order at 08:15 and I had a text from mother in law at 13:40 to say her flowers were beautiful. She sent me a picture and they truly were. They were huge and looked so fresh! Absolute life saving company - they helped make sure someone felt special on a big day. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be using again.

About Bristol Florists

With so many reasons to celebrate, flower delivery in the UK is still going strong. Many people turn to online flower delivery to send floral gifts to their loved ones making UK florists essential to any village and town. Anywhere you go, you are sure to find a UK florist selling beautiful bouquets and flower arrangements.

The daily life of a florist is not a walk in the park. If the florist is an independent local florist, he or she wears many hats to run the shop. Florists do not only make arrangements for their customers. They also arrange their displays of plants and flowers to attract people to the shop. Part of a florist's job is to keep the shop attractive and tidy at all times.

A UK florist must also act as a salesperson. He or she must talk to customers to help with their needs and choose flowers and plants to buy for themselves or send as a gift. Besides the walk-in customers, there are also online flower orders to think about. Lastly, there are clients for events and weddings. Large events and functions need the help of assistants and other florists in the shop to fulfil the requirements on time.

Occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries require flowers in perfect condition. A UK florist sees to it that all flowers used in making bouquets and arrangements for funerals are fresh and clean. They also make sure to follow the customers' requests and provide excellent service.

Part of being a creative florist in the UK is learning new skills like wiring and presentation. Floristry is always evolving that is why it is a must for a florist UK to take classes from experts and training from accredited centres.

We are proud to say that The Flower Shops Network is made of florists in the UK. Our UK florists pay great attention to detail and will work with you to give you the best flowers from their shops. They will not only hand-deliver flowers the same day, but they will also teach you how to properly care for your flowers.

Our florists are all passionate about flowers and plants. They are all creative and experts in making different floral arrangements. Most of all, they are dedicated to delivering fantastic floral products at the best price.

Our florists offer same-day flower delivery. Often, our local florist will personally deliver the order to the recipient. They want to ensure the right person receives them in the best condition. Our florists also accept and fulfil online flower delivery orders from The Flower Shops.

Being a UK florist is far from what people would expect. It takes a lot of work to be one. During occasions like Mother's Day and Christmas, expect florists to up at the crack of dawn and start setting up the shop to work on orders. Florists in the UK are used to long days during the busy season and they are sure to deliver beyond expectations every time.

A Little History Of Bristol Florists

Floristry is a huge industry in the UK and the rest of the world. It is not only a hobby you can enjoy, but it is also an occupation. Florists are people not only passionate about flowers and plants but also enthusiastic about excellent customer service.

Think about how many flower arrangements, wreaths, and bouquets are sold and purchased on special occasions; birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day to name a few. Flowers are a part of the gift-giving culture and as long as people are looking for flowers to send, there will always be a demand for florists.

Floristry is not only making impressive floral bouquets and arrangements for occasions. It is also the art of creating breathtaking floral displays for events and the appropriate care and handling of flowers. Expect a professional florist to assist you in your search for the perfect flowers to deliver to loved ones.

Floristry has roots in Eastern and Western culture. In Europe, flowers were used in vases to symbolise various things during the Dark Ages. It was during the Renaissance period in the 15th and 16th centuries when floral decorations have become widespread. Europeans used wreaths and garlands for homes, churches and festivals. These are evident in works of art of that time.

Flowers were also valued for their medicinal purposes and communication. As the average person could not read, people resorted to flowers to exchange messages. In England (1400-500 AD), threats have decreased so more thought was put into creating open gardens over fortresses. Small bouquets called "tussie-mussies" were carried by men and women. To perfume homes, potpourri was used and clove-studded oranges were prized for their scent and decorative appearance.

The arranging of flowers and using containers became commonplace during the Georgian period (1714-1830). It was during this time when the height of the flowers and the height of the overall arrangement were considered. By the Victorian Era (1830 - 1900), flowers were cultivated and used everywhere. Victorians were seen wearing flowers in their hair and as corsages.

Modern-florists started in the mid-nineteenth century in the Netherlands. It wasn't until the twentieth century when the first florist and flower shops appeared. British horticulturist and garden designer, Gertrude Jekyll is credited for the increasing influence of floral decoration as home decor.

Flowers are very much part of the British culture. You can see flowers on the national emblems. Even some local customs involve flowers. For instance, the national flower of England is the Tudor rose which can be seen on the dress uniforms of the guards at the Tower of London. It is also in the royal coat of arms.

Various flower types are for different local occasions. Whenever you need these flowers, you can ask your local florist if stock is available. It is best to order ahead of time during busy days to ensure your flowers arrive how you expect them to look. Local florists are happy to assist you in looking for the perfect flower to match the occasion.
